Biography

In the beginning

After completing the Bachelor Sound Design, Mattijn has started his own company, Studio Willems, and regularly works as a freelancer for other studios. Studio Willems combines knowledge, experience and vision in close and creative collaboration with the director or client.

During his study at the HKU University of the Arts in Utrecht, Mattijn started working together in the collective ‘Andy’. These four students provide music and sound design for various media productions. Mattijn is responsible for the sound design and the final mix. 

Due to his internship at Studio Vermaas in Amsterdam Mattijn gained a wealth of knowledge and experience from the field of work. He has specializes in designing the perfect SFX and atmospheres using sound for film and television series.
